Hexanet Communications Mailing List Service
Hexanet Communications's mailing list service is an opt-in mailing list management service provided to Hexanet Communications clients. We handle the subscribe / unsubscribe requests and the delivery of messages.

All Lists are Opt-In
All Hexanet Communications mailing lists are opt-in. This means that you will never receive mail through Hexanet Communications unless you subscribe to one of our Clients mailing list. The subscription process uses instant email notifications to ensure that only people who consent to receiving information are subscribed.

List Removal
Hexanet Communications provides users the opportunity to opt-in and opt-out of receiving e-mail communications from us or from our clients. This is made available during sign-up for our e-mail lists and in e-mail messages delivered by Hexanet Communications. For any list managed by Hexanet Communications, users can use the link in the footer of all email messages. You can opt-out of any and all Hexanet Communications-managed mailing lists to which you are subscribed by following the removal instructions included in every message you receive through the mailing list [if they are missing please report to abuse@hexanet.com ]

All on-line opt-out requests are honored immediately and permanently.
All e-mail opt-out requests are processed within 48 hours and are permanently maintained.  Hexanet Communications does not use opt-out information for any purpose other than to suppress messages to designated opt-out e-mail addresses.

Tracking of Information
Hexanet Communications mailing list service does not track whether a message we sent was opened, nor whether any links were clicked in the message.

When visiting our web site and any of our Clients web site, we track non-personal statistics such as the time you entered our site, the referrer, what operating system and browser you are using, and what screen resolution you run at. This information is used purely for creating statistical reports on our web page usage.

Usage Tracking
Hexanet Communications tracks user traffic patterns throughout its site as well as some our its customers web sites. However, we do not correlate this information with data about individual users. Hexanet Communications does break down overall usage statistics according to a user's domain name, browser type, and MIME type by reading this information from the browser string (information contained in every user's browser). Hexanet Communications also retains keywords typed into search engines when users attempt to find a site. This information is not correlated with specific users.

We may use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our websites. Your IP address is used to gather broad demographic information. Hexanet Communications uses the patent-pending Urchin Tracking Module (UTM) Sensor which uniquely identifies each visitor by using client-side cookies to keep track of first time and returning visitors for some of its interactive or content-based web sites with large traffic.

Cookies
Cookies are pieces of information that a Web site transfers to an individual's hard drive for record-keeping purposes while at the site. Cookies make Web-surfing easier by, among other things, saving your passwords and preferences for you. The use of cookies is an industry standard, and you'll find cookies at most major Web sites.

Cookies help make Hexanet Communications better, by showing how and when guests use each Website. Many content improvements and updates are based on such data as total number of visitors and pages viewed. This information is most easily tracked with cookies. A cookie lets Hexanet Communications and its client remember that you've registered, which allows us to speed up your future activities at our sites. The cookie itself does not contain any personally identifying information although it may enable Hexanet Communications to relate a user's use of Hexanet Communications web sites to personally identifying information that has previously been submitted by the user, if any.

You may occasionally get external cookies from some of our Clients web sites. These cookies are sent from third-party computers and are subject to such third parties' policies. Most browsers are initially set to accept cookies. If you'd prefer, you can set yours to refuse cookies. However, it is likely that most areas of the site will not function properly if you do so.
